BIO:

Thea Atladóttir is an Icelandic/Italian performer and dancer. She graduated from Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in Munich 2019.

Her artistic work moves between dance and theatre, with a focus on improvisation and socially engaged themes. She is interested in feminist, political, and activist perspectives, and explores how these can be embodied through performance.

Thea is comfortable using text and singing on stage, and has integrated both into several of her pieces. She works with facial expressions and a playful approach to movement. Her collaborations include Linda Wardal, Katja Wachter, The Iceland Dance Company, BPART+, and Dansateliers. In addition to her stage work, she has worked with vulnerable communities and non-dancers through participatory projects. These collaborations inform her interest in inclusion and accessibility in the arts. Alongside her performance career, she completed a BA in Creative Industries in 2024, broadening her engagement with interdisciplinary artistic production.
